The 2013 Iowa BBQ Society's annual tree and food give away was a huge success. Held in conjunction with the Salvation Army and Urban Dreams in Des Moines. 75 Christmas trees and 600 pouns of cooked pork were given away. Also 650 Breakfast sandwiches, coats, hats, mittens, various baked goods, lights, ornaments and candy were given away in abnout 35 minutes. Thanks to our volunteers that came by to help on a very cold day. Also a special thanks to Cookies BBQ Sauces for cooking the meat, Smoky D's for the sandwiches, Hy Vee for the baked goods, A&E Dairy for the orange juice and milk and Hawgeyes BBQ/TNT Landscaping for getting the trees.
