Andys Barbecue Serves 150 Seniors Barbecue

Andys Barbecue enjoyed the privilege of serving 150 seniors at the Sunny Hill Care Center in Tama, Iowa this past Saturday. The event was sponsored by the Iowa BBQ Society.
Although the day was blustery and wet, the seniors enjoyed the delicious pulled pork sandwiches in the warmth of the center, while music and dancing took place. Ken Anderson, owner of Andys Barbecue, visited with many of the residents who commented that it had been a long time since they had the opportunity to eat BBQ.
Makenna Anderson, Kens daughter helped serve up the food and also enjoyed visiting with the residents, especially their new friend, Emily Kvapil, who was crowned senior of the Day as she accepted her complimentary bottle of Cookies Original Barbecue Sauce.
Andys Barbecue would like to thank the staff & residents of Sunny Hill for allowing them to be a part of their day, and also the Iowa BBQ Society for sponsoring such a worthwhile event.
